Farrah D. Riley and Kiki Stephens

Farrah and Kiki joined Atlanta Natural Hair Care in September of 2009. According to their website, MahoganyKnots they "have been friends and natural hair buddies for years and just decided to do our own blog and videos." You can find their blogs and videos on MahoganyKnots.com and their Youtube channel, MahoganyKnots NaturalHairCafe. For those of you that are new to the online natural hair community and a bit confused with all of the terms being thrown around on the natural hair blogs and videos, MahoganyKnots' Terms to Know page is very useful.

Yoruba Brown

Yoruba joined Atlanta Natural Hair Care this month, June of 2010. In describing herself Yoruba says "I am an Atlanta based freelance fashion writer/blogger. I specialize in reviews on new and innovative styles and fashion. I am making the personal journey from relaxed to natural hair, and would love to make new friends and connections as well as write about those experiences along the way." Quick...Messy...Updo Challenge

In answer to your requests, we have extended the Quick...Messy...Updo Challenge through the end of July so that you all can fit it into your summer hair care routines. Do not be afraid to try this style with your protective hair styles like twists and braids.

Hair Rules

This week we posted three Hair Rules videos, a how-to video and two product review videos. Hair Rules has been getting mixed reviews from the Youtube natural hair community. What everyone can agree upon is that Hair Rules is not inexpensive.

Bronner Brother's International Hair Show

August 10, 2010 at the Georgia World Congress Center Bronner Brothers will have several workshops that feature natural hair care. CLICK HERE for more details about natural hair care work shops and the hair show.



Ask Kenya



Atlanta Natural Hair Care is launching a new advice column, “Ask Kenya", featuring expert stylist and co-creator of the Natural Styling Guide DVD, Kenya Fauntleroy.

"Ask Kenya" will premier on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Kenya will answer questions about transitioning from chemically treated hair to natural hair. She will also answer questions about maintaining and styling natural hair.
